What is a Microsoft Certified Trainer?

Microsoft is at the forefront of introducing innovative software and technologies into the market. Given the technical complexity of many of these offerings, there is a significant need for computer professionals and users to receive proper training. To address this need, Microsoft established the Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) Programme. This initiative is designed to affiliate professional trainers and learning consultants who possess a deep understanding and proficiency in Microsoft technologies, alongside a commitment to meet all specified criteria and the stipulations set forth in the MCT Programme Agreement. The prerequisites of the MCT Programme are tailored to underscore the competencies essential for educating IT professionals, among others, on how to develop, implement, support, and sustain solutions powered by Microsoft's software, services, and technologies. The programme serves as a beacon for students, training providers, and organisations, enabling them to distinguish adept professionals capable of delivering high-quality training on Microsoft's suite of products, services, and technologies. Members of the MCT community are an indispensable asset within the realms of IT and information worker training spheres today.

Maintaining the MCT Accreditation

Microsoft acknowledges Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCTs) as experts proficient in delivering training on Microsoft's suite of software, technologies, and educational products. Given the critical role MCTs play in the educational journey, maintaining a high instructional and technical standard is imperative to provide top-tier training to IT professionals and developers. Consequently, the MCT Programme mandates that all MCTs uphold a specific level of training activity throughout their tenure in the programme to retain their membership. Failure to meet the required level of training activity will result in not being able to renew into MCT Programme. To facilitate the monitoring and reporting of training activities, Microsoft assesses scores received through class survey, whic hserve as a basis for Microsoft to assess whether an MCT meets the programme's stipulated requirements. This stringent adherence to training standards underscores my commitment to delivering the highest quality of education and support, ensuring that professionals are well-equipped to thrive in today's technologically advanced landscape.
